Right after Mallory was born Pepere (Mike's Dad) brought down this baby scale from his childhood. Pepere is one of 8 children and they used this scale when he was a baby! It has been so nice to use since Mallory was born at 5 lbs 7 ozs and I constantly wanted to check her weight to make sure she was gaining! And now I can check Carter's on a daily basis too without heading to the Dr! :) It's such a nice and reassuring tool to have at home!
Carter is enjoying a "weigh in" in the pic above...of course to be more accurate he would be in his "B-Day suit," but not for the blog! :) We will go to the doctor on Thurs. for a weight check and a check on his jaundice levels...both were fine when leaving the hospital and we aren't scheduled to go in til the 10th, but "Nervous Nelly" Mommy here wants to go in before then! :)

MiMi came over today to help out as I recover from my C-Section and Mike heads back to work...Mallory loves having her MiMi around and I think that is a big reason why we haven't had a hard transition yet to sharing her parents attention...MIMi doesn't go back to work until Oct. so Mike is able to start out the school year and save some of his leave until after MiMi goes back to work! What a blessing! Thanks for all your help MiMi! :)
We were so excited for Daddy to get home tonight! He had a great first day of school...but boy did we miss him! :)

Your family is so beautiful... Lucky us that we got to "steal" Daddy for the day! But I know he missed all of you lots! Can't wait to visit with Carter again SOON!!! And see Mal too!!
I can't get over how BIG Carter is getting!! So how much did he weigh in this weigh-in? I just love what a sweet big sister Mallory is! Did she seem to grow-up over night?
