Memories...

Just wanted to write down a few other things about our 2 wk Northern Journey so I won't forget... Our kids were ridiculous with their sleeping! They are normally both awesome sleepers...not so much once Carter could stand up and they could egg each other on during naptime in the same room... :) and one or the other was up every morning with the sun...so one of us would go for an early morning stroll around EG or to the Ugly Moose store bc we didn't want to wake up the other 13-14 people we were staying with! :) Our kids didn't do to well when we tried to pull them into bed with us...Mallory would rub your face all night if you let her (so sweet, but after 30-45 mins not as sweet :) ) and Carter is like one of the 3 Stooges with his head butts and eye pokes...We just had to laugh at the craziness of it all!

And the lack of sleep lead to some Crank-o-saurses...so there was more of this...

than usual...but they had so much fun with their cousins and grandparents despite the shortage of Zs! One time when Mallory woke up I asked her how she felt...she said, "Grumpy"...2 wks is a long time to be away from home and out of your routine... :) I also wanted to remember that the kids were ROCKSTARS in the van...must have been a familiar comforting thing to them...and thank goodness it was bc we spent more than 30 hrs in it over the course of the vacation...I want to remember how nice it was in case next time it isn't so nice! They aren't big enough to reach each other to pester each other yet...those yrs will come! :) We spent a lot of time sharing the radio...everyone would get to play 3 songs...even Carter...(so Mom and Dad got 3 extra every time it was his turn!) and M would always choose: I'd like to Visit the Moon/Sing a Song/A Smile Connects Us...it was so cute to hear her belt out the lyrics...Just wanna remember the craziness amongst all the fun we had! :)
