Girls Weekend!!!

What a wonderful weekend! Lots and lots of girl time!!! Started out with Book Club on Friday night and then my friend Ginny came down to stay with us Sat. and Sunday while Mike was away on the Men's Retreat! And Mike surprised us by coming home early on Saturday night! Yay!!!! My "battery" is recharged!!! :)

Ginny took these 3 pics of the kids...I love them!! (You can see more here...)

We went to the zoo and Ginny treated the kids to a carousel ride before we left!

It was a good weekend of chatting and reflecting on life with a good friend! Got to hear all about her recent trip to Uganda to help build a school (she went 2 yrs ago to build a house for 8 orphans to live in with a house mother)...how amazing! And she got to come be in the "trenches" with me for the weekend...Here is a quote from one of the books I am currently reading about motherhood...Thanks for coming to visit us Ginny! The kids had a blast and so did their parents!!! :)

"Raising children...molding them into responsible adults, is a constant, refining process measured in fractions of a centimeter. We gain ground and then we lose it; we reestablish that lost ground and then lose it again. Some days we feel like soldiers crawling up a muddy slope while under heavy fire. And somehow we find the inner strength it takes to get up, put on our helmet, and dive back into the mud the next day."
