"Sleet" Day

Started off the morning with omelets and bacon and some Mickey Mouse Club...

Then we had our one B&Aer who doesn't have a parent working for the school system over for the day..."the weather outside was frightful" and not fun for playing so we made edible playdough inside! Haven't ever made the edible kind before and all my work teaching Carter not to eat playdough might be in vain now....but it was fun and yummy...you can find the recipe here...we just halved it and it was plenty for 3...

Looks a little questionable...but they had fun...the food coloring didn't work so well...

And Carter got a little crazy with the powdered sugar "snow"...

Then once Mike got back we made a fort in M's room for a change! We tried to make it before he got home, but he was kind to help us make it better once he arrived...

We spent a lot of time in there!!!!

The cats even enjoyed it...M did a lot...Kingston only tried it out right before we took it down before dinner...

My foot included in the shot since I'm always behind the lens...

Such a cool gift from Aunt Lu...you can check it out here...great for kids who are scared of the dark...which M is at this point in her life...she doesn't sleep with her ladybug yet, but enjoys having him in their little cardboard house during the day...hopefully at some point we can turn off her 25 wt lamp in her room at night and use the bug...

Carter is such a quick little guy he is hard to catch on film...we are worried our cardboard house won't last too long bc Carter is like the Kool-aid guy from the 80s commercials busting through the doors and once he even hurled himself through the window...what in the world?!?!

Love him and his crazy self! :)

M got to skip nap and we headed outside to play...no sledding sadly...the storm just gave us sleet...

Mike and the B&Aer played some football...

We listened to Carter boycott his nap...he hasn't ever totally boycotted his nap before...I think he is more and more aware when he is missing out...he played happily in his crib for 2 hrs though... :) Hopefully today there will be no boycott...(The woodland creatures are all the rage Pepere...they are the coolest things to play with outside currently for our kids and the B&As...)

Sounds on a "sleet" day off from school....I love days like this!

Not that'd be appropriate, but M could totally sleep in H's room. It's lit up like Vegas. Two night lights and a strand of Christmas lights. Vegas, I tell you!
