New Years Masquerade Ball

We went out for New Years this yr for the first time post kids! It was a lot of fun...one of my playgroups was hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner...we were both a little nervous about our acting skills, but once we got there we had a blast!

Mike was a big city cop named Sherlock Tracy and I was Pepper the TV producer...we were supposed to all wear our masks out to dinner, but everyone chickened out and Mike and I almost fell out when we saw the menu and how pricey it was...but the food was wonderful and there was lots of laughter! When we got back to my friends house we all got into character and started playing the game...I hadn't done one of these since my Freshman year in college so it was a lot of fun to do it again...

The playgroup mommies in costume! It was hilarious to see some of the husbands so into it and acting their parts...We found out Mike was the victim right before the ball dropped...his sheet for round 2 of the game directed him to go into the bathroom and put "ghost makeup" on....after the ball dropped, everyone had a dance party and round 3-- finding out who was the murderer-- fell by the wayside until around 230am...It was such a fun night with many many laughs and lots of dancing!

Thank you MiMi and PaPa for watching the kids and MiMi for spending the night on our couch! The kids had a blast and so did we!
