No Foolin! (Can't believe tom is April!)
An apple a day keeps the doctor away...these guys love their apples!
We are loving this weather and the promise of Spring Break right around the corner!!!
Played outside with my little people today after we cleaned and ran some errands in the morning....and they played on huge bears... :) The weather is beeeeee-A-u-ti-ful! :)
Mr. Man is always looking for the next thing to "get into"...Love watching him go!
On a side note...Watched Tarzan for the first time with the kids the other day....Oh my goodness! Disney can always pull at a Momma's heart strings can't they?!?!?! We loved the song You'll be in my Heart from the movie and actually put it on Carter's Baby CD when we were waiting for his arrival, but had never seen the film, so maybe that was a part of why it pushed me over the edge! :***( Such a good movie!

Our Weekend
Both of our kids have coughs and colds so we have been laying low last week and this weekend... but we were so excited to get to go to church on Palm Sunday...the sermon was awesome and challenging!
Such a goofy fam!
These pics were actually taken on Sat....we went to feed geese after naps at a new location...
Only 2 geese were out on this little pond...
Loving God,
you rode a donkey and came in peace,
humbled yourself and gave yourself for us.
We confess our lack of humility.
As you entered Jerusalem,
the crowds shouted "Hosanna: Save us!"
On Good Friday they shouted, "Crucify!"
We confess our praise is often empty.
We sing "Hosanna," but cry "Crucify."
We often mistake Jesus for a mere earthly king,
friendly companion, or problem solver,
failing to see him as the ruler of all creation.
Loving God,
forgive us for being our own kings;
give us the desire and ability to follow you as our King.

Good to have a quiet, restful weekend and be out in God's creation!
3 Foot Pooh
Sat. Morning with SQ!
Aunt Susan came over for "Cafe Morin" on Sat....The kids love when she visits...And Carter loves his sister's Hello Kitty Boots...Here's to hoping he gets some boy boots in his Easter basket....I'm pretty sure he will! We had no idea how much he would love his sister's when we got them for her...He's obsessed! :) It's the little things that bring happiness right!??!!?

19 Months
How can our Moose be 19 months tomorrow??!!? He is at such a fun age as he is learning how to talk more and more each day! I love my special time with him on Tues. and Thurs. while his sister is at school....
*He loves to draw (and doesn't try to eat the markers/crayons as much as he used to!)
*He thinks he is "Mr. Big Stuff" now wearing his backpack/diaper bag into church and MOPS...so nice for me not to have to carry a bag anymore...He loves wearing it!
*He loves playing in the sandbox and eating sand (you would think after one bite he would learn, but no!)....and is so content when we are outside...Nature Boy! :)
*He likes opening things and pulling everything out...check out the puppets...and he is learning how to help when it is time to clean up...(key word is learning :))
*He is listening a little better and learning how to obey...He gets so excited when he knows he has done a good job!
Here are a few of his latest words... :)

Resurrection Eggs
Tonight is the night to break out the eggs again! This pic is from last yr...Can't wait to start the count down to Easter and discuss an egg at @ dinner each night and what Jesus did for us! :)
M will also get to recite a verse with Children's Worship on Sunday and they will lead the congregation in the start of a praise song...so we will be working on the Bible verse and the song each night as well:
He Reigns
It’s the song of the redeemed
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir

Glory, glory, hallelujah

Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
The Little Things...
It's the little things that make me smile throughout the day....I found Mags asleep on Mal's pillow that she had put on the toy box in Carter's room...Went to get the bath ready and came back to see M tucking her cat in...The cat continued to sleep like during their baths until it was time for Carter to go to sleep and I had to remove her!
We stayed home from playgroup yesterday bc Carter woke up coughing (Sad to miss out on our friends!)...could be the change in weather, but we laid low just to be sure...He looks real sick doesn't he!?!?!!? Playing "New York"in the pic below...(It's a game that the B&A girls play with M and she likes to play it with us while they are at school sometimes...)
Carter is getting more and more verbal each day...it's crazy! He can say, "Peas (please), hot (and says this even when I put yogurt in front of him to eat), and juice...it is so fun! And yesterday when he wanted something and was grunting I said, "What do you need to say?" and he said, "Peas!" It was a really cool moment! Usually I have to say, "Say please..." But I forgot who I was talking to and asked him the question (usually ask M that)...He is starting to get it! And working the "Peas Angle" for all he's worth! When he wants something, "Peas? Peas? Peas?"
And Mallory is doing well with her paci detox...no crying the last 2 nights! Yay! But naptimes are a bit harder...We are working on it! And she is asking really deep, interesting questions at bedtime these days...it is really awesome! And asking for prayer for more things too...We know part of it is "stalling"...I've reminded her that I am here all day to chat...she always saves the good stuff til the end though! :)

Our Clark Kent
The boys stayed home from church today (Carter had a low grade fever on Sat. and is cutting several teeth...no fever today though-- YAY!)...Did you know Clark Kent lived with us???? (Mike taped his glasses back together to get this pic...still need to get Mike some new ones!)
Super Baby!
In P-jams and watching a little tel-y...
And on the run again...We think he is pretty S*U*P*E*R! Glad they had fun while we were at church! :)
1 Night Down & A Lifetime to Go!
Yesterday was the big day...we have been talking to M about different options of giving her paci away...we have let her know different ways her friends have given it up...and this week was the first week where she was talking about it on her own and wanted to go to Build a Bear every day...We told her she would have to wait til Saturday when we could all go together (and to try to make sure she understood the finality of it all)...
They really build the drama there...and I was about to bawl when they made her kiss each paci goodbye before they tucked them safely inside her new frog before stuffing him...(Thanks for the tip Lisa about putting them in his hands so she could feel them!)
Giving "Paci-rella" her first bath...
Daddy helping...Me and My BIG Girl!
Carter had fun watching and his turn will come too one day...I love how he puts his finger to his nose when he chats with us these days...hilarious!
Then we walked around the outdoor mall...beautiful weather again--DAYS upon days of it!
The fam!
After lunch we headed home for the first true test...naptime...selfishly we hadn't pushed the paci detox bc we have enjoyed lots of wonderful sleep from these kiddos...but it was time...so no nap for her yesterday- just talking (but no tears!)...tears for 5 mins at night and today at nap as well....ahhhh transitions-- gotta love them! But after she fell asleep last night she slept through the night until her normal wake up and then took a nap after settling down today...We are thankful and hope it gets easier and easier for her each time and that even though she doesn't have the comfort of the paci anymore we hope and pray that one day she will know who the source of all comfort is and that she can talk to the TRUE COMFORTER when she can't get to sleep at night...

Zoo Time!
We went to the zoo for the first time this season! And Mr. Man got to get out of the stroller...MiMi and I met up with some other Moms from church and all their little ones (first children...all about Carter's age) All their children were out of their strollers....Carter was content just strolling along, but I want him to be able to experience the same things she did at his age...So I got him out after a bit...It was his first time getting to walk around the zoo and he loved it! It's just trickier with 2 and bc Carter is all over the place and working on listening! I was so glad to have MiMi with me for backup! :)
Check out those ostrich eggs! I love how up close and personal our zoo is!
The giraffes are always a highlight and Carter got to feed them too this time!
Thanks for Mallory's zoo pass MiMi (Carter is still free) and the yummy picnic lunch....We will love going so much in 2010! Thanks for coming with us today...Carter actually got to "do the zoo" bc you were there to help out!!!! :)

Luck of the Irish!
It's been a LUCKY day around here! I love holidays and joining in on the fun with the kids! We played "Hide and Seek the Leprechaun" again this yr with the B&A kids...
Then we did laundry and played upstairs for a bit...
Went grocery shopping and ate a picnic lunch outside...the SUN is out and it is gorgeous outside!
Then Mallory and I did this craft and this one. Carter goes for his nap 30 mins before she does so we get some good 1 on 1 time (she got a bit more time today)...I love that special time...Thanks for sending the 2nd craft idea Aunt Laura...I love the idea of teaching the Trinity with a clover! Then she wanted to make a clover for our family...We had a good time!
“Even the plants of the field tell about God.”~St. Patrick
Looking fwd to green pancakes, Lucky Charms, and green eggs for dinner tonight with Mike! Check out our "little leprechauns" this time last year...My how they have grown!
Carter needed help to sit up even!
Happy St. Patty's Day to you and yours! :)
