So hard to find a "balance" during such an exciting time of year! Santa is everywhere and is so much fun...and there are elements of his nature that point kids to the fact that "God is good and God is for us" and there are only about 5+ good "Santa yrs" for kids (ages about 2-8), but we want to make sure our kids know the true "reason for the season." We got this idea from our friend Ginny....We are incorporating one of Mallory's favorite games with "seek and ye shall find"...with the game Hide and Seek baby Jesus...(More like Hide and Peek in her case) and we've been hiding baby Jesus around the house in "plain sight." We plan to do this before she opens gifts on Christmas morning before we celebrate His birth with as my sister said, "the biggest B-Day party ever!"

I mean the idea of hiding Baby Jesus! I know Christmas is Jesus's birthday....
Yeah!!! what a super cool tradition! =) So glad the idea is being passed on....we still have to find the baby Jesus Christmas morning even though we are all adults...you're never too old!! Matt and Katie are flying in Christmas morning and the first order of business is to find the baby Jesus!
