We had a wonderful Gift from the Sea type weekend...the perfect balance of couple time, kid time, family time, friend time, and alone time...ahhhh! Thanks to MiMi and PaPa for keeping the kids overnight Friday! (Where was my camera?!?!? No pics!) Mike and I got to go out to dinner sans kids! YAY! Then Sat. morning we got to go to a Bar Mitzvah for one of Mike's former students....really really neat to see a 13 yr old chant in Hebrew and read from the Torah in Hebrew...wow! It was really impressive and cool to witness part of the Bible come to life that way...I had never been to one (Mike has when growing up) so it was really special for me to be able to go...
Then I headed off to a college friend's baby shower out of town Sat. afternoon and Mike picked up the kids and had a relaxing afternoon with them...We had a lowkey rest of the weekend...Church was the only thing on the docket Sunday....and the sermon was on "finding rest" :) ...I felt very refreshed and rested after a very balanced weekend!
