"Bay-bee"

Mallory loves the "bay-bee" that cousins Abby and Thomas got her for Christmas...Her baby is usually the first thing she grabs in the morning to play with. She is constantly carrying the baby around the house, rocking her baby, and feeding her baby throughout the day...it cracks us up to see her playing "mommy" at such a young age! :)

Slumber Party Weekend!

Hanging with Piper the Cock-a-poo!
Thomas loving on Piper on her little bed made by Abby...
Abby's Famous pancakes...complete with maple syrup, chocolate syrup, jelly, whip cream, and a cherry! Talk about a sugary start to your day!
Mallory loved having a dog around all weekend! Total delight on her face as she looks at Piper!

What a fun weekend we have had with the other Morin fam! Mike and Matt had fun on "Brother Night" on Friday and then Mike and I went out on Sat. Night for Susan's boyfriend's surprise 30th B-Day party...and they took care of Mallory...we had so much fun hanging out as the snow came down...the cousins had fun waking up to play with each other each morning...and one of the highlights of the weekend came when Mike and Abby made "Treaty McEaty" pancakes before church on Sunday!

Snow Day and a Sick Shooga Booga

We were so HYPER this morning when Mike's school got cancelled for **snow**!!! Mallory got to stay with him as I went off to shuttle kids to the bus and to PreK. Mallory has enjoyed extra time with Dad as she recovers from another DOUBLE ear infection! Her Dr. says that if she gets one more this season then she will recommend her for tubes...SADness! But I have heard good things about tubes...so we will have to wait and see! She is having fun playing this afternoon with Connor and her parents! :)

Our Little Parrot

Mallory followed me into the bathroom today while I was putting on make-up...notice that she grabbed my cell phone too on the way in...I told her not to touch the trash can because it's yucky...and she said "yuck-ee." The other day she said "kitty cat" after Mike said it when hanging out with the cats...she's a little parrot! So fun that she is starting to learn words! :)

Be-A-utiful Day!

So excited about the sandbox...
Diggin' in the mulch...and hanging out with a buddy yesterday...

What a gorgeous day! After Mallory's nap we headed out to a park in the area that I had heard a lot about, but never tried before...it was AWEsome! So fun to be outside in Jan. playing with no jackets! :) Mallory was VERY sad to leave...but the wind is blowing and it looks like colder air is headed back our way....the spring-like weather was so fun for a few days!!! :)

My Next 30 Years...

Yummy Ukrop's cake with family...
About to head out on the town in my new garnet jacket...Thanks Laura!
Hanging out with Aunt Ginny...so fun to have her stay over! And be the first to sign our new guest book...we are now on vol II !
Trying out our slide for the first time today before dinner in the 60 degree weather...what in the world!?!?! And the jacket she is rocking was mine when I was little...yayyyyyyyyy 70s!

I've always liked the song My Next 30 Years by Tim McGraw, but now I can really mean it when I sing it! I've had a wonderful time celebrating "30 trips around the sun" (as Pepere would say)...We started off the festivities on Thurs. at my parents house with a dinner celebration (Mallory spent the night with MiMi and PaPa afterwards), then Fri. (my actual B-Day) Mike took me out to a nice dinner and a movie (MiMi and PaPa sat again), then last night I went to eat with a couple of close friends (and Mike and Mallory had Daddy/Daughter bedtime)....so I've had what some people might deem a "Birthday Bonanza!" So it wasn't too traumatic for me to turn the BIG 3-Oh! Thanks for all the calls and emails!!! I'm very happy with where I am in life and thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given me and look forward to more good times and memories in "my next 30 years"...

All About Even #s! :)

Such a big girl hanging out in the rocking chair...

Yay for even #s! (I'm a little crazy over them!) I'm excited to start an even year-- 2008! Mike and I had a low-key evening to bring in the New Year and today we have been busy organizing various things around the house. New Year's is always a bit sad, because it's the end of a year...but I enjoy the anticipation of the new year and a "fresh start."
This weekend was a lot of fun hanging out with old friends...thanks Michelle and Ali! And I also said goodbye to my best friend since 9th grade because she is going overseas as a missionary for 2 yrs...it was so weird to say goodbye knowing she won't be back until Mallory is 3! But I know we will keep in touch and I know the Lord will use her in the lives of others!
Tonight will be about regrouping as Mike heads off to work for the first time in 18 days (so great to have him home so long!!!) and I go back to Nannying...Hope everyone has a blessed 2008! :)

All Over the Place!

So people said that when she started walking she'd be busy and everywhere! It's true! It's so crazy to see "this little person" walking throughout our house with her own agenda! I love seeing how each step is so deliberate and filled with purpose!
