First Gift

When I took Mallory to the doctor last week and found out she was sick I was weepy for my little girl. When the doctor told me she couldn't give her tamiflu bc they "can't give it out like water" I was even more stressed for my child. (Thank goodness they gave Carter some as a preventative measure! It was impossible to keep them apart when she was sick...) But in other parts of the world moms are stressed all the time about their child's health and they don't have the things they need: like water. The very thing the doctor used as an example for why they couldn't give my child medicine. Here in America where we have grocery store aisles devoted solely to water- every brand and flavor....I often take for granted all the things I have at my fingertips each day! There are not many times when I can't get my hands on something I need...and I am so grateful...I feel so much for those moms who are living under that kind of stress daily...

There are some people doing amazing things for moms and dads who don't have clean water for their children...check out this site and think about helping out and giving the gift of LIFE for Christmas!!!! :) (You can also go here to buy fun stuff to help too!)

Car Picnic!

We don't want to do too much too quickly, but this Momma Bear needed to get out of the house for a bit today...it's been so long! So we went through the drive thru @ Chickflia and had a little picnic in the back seat of our car! The weather is awesome and the sun is shining and it was so nice to have a little activity to enjoy! :) "Me and my girl" even got milkshakes!! Such a YUMMY treat! :)

5 Steps!!!!

Yeterday our little Moose took 5 steps all by himself!!!! YAY!!! He walked from the end table of one couch to me at the other couch....It was so exciting and he was so proud of himself. Mike and I have both seen him take a few independent steps here lately...our little baby is growing up! :)

He is obsessed with the sink...loves "brushing" his teeth...if you leave the door open you'll know where to find him...he has climbed up and is playing at the sink! :)

Shopping with my Boy

Carter loves to push the grocery cart around the house now...

And I love watching him inspect the goods...

And flip the cart and make a seat for himself... :)

Day 7

We are so grateful for all the prayers! Our little girl has been fever free since Monday mid morning! Yay! We are so thankful! We have some new friends that came out of this sickness...Woody, Buzz, "NewKeyO" (Pinocchio) and Jiminie!!!!

Today when we were walking back from the bus stop I asked her what she wanted to have for snack..."carrots and mashpeetatos!" Wow! It's good to see her appetite is back...we settled on some carrots with ranch...We have had many a "picnic" in the living room watching TV over the last week...

She loves wearing my robe and looking like a "king"...(Notice we are still rocking the blue tape...hopefully we can finish painting soon...a bit ridiculous since it has been taped since July!!!!!)
We were glad to see our friends again today, but we will still be laying low during the days this week to recharge this little body and get her back to feeling 100%! :)

My Little Hair Twirler

I love scooping up this little "bed head" after a nap!

Hope is a Look Away...

Having your paci out of the bed is a "perk" to being sick!

Day four of watching lots and lots of movies in our house. Got to watch a little Veggie Tales and Pinocchio today. :) M slept all the way through the night last night without needing meds and without Mommy...We are so grateful! We have been playing with the toys and coloring books that Aunt Suzy dropped off yesterday. Then tonight we had a care package on the front porch from MiMi! It arrived while we were eating dinner...

The kids were all about the balloons and have no idea that there are goodies inside the bag for us to play with tomorrow. Thanks MiMi! We are blessed that so many are thinking of us and praying for us during this trial. It's hard to keep 2 little ones apart when one is sick and both need your care. I'm going a little stir crazy being home all week...God has been good to help me with my worry, but today has been harder. I need to remember that "HOPE is a look away"...And keep looking to the person who is my TRUE HOPE....and we have been blessed that the kids have played nicer than they have in weeks and that people have sent us so many fun little things to keep us busy while we are home-bound. Here's to hoping for a healthier home-bound week! :)
