Wienie Roast!

Daddy got the fire going last night in the back yard so we could cook our dinner!

Aunt Susan, Mal, and I shucked some corn...

The kids played in their little house...

Then we all sat down for dinner...

Nothing like eating around a campfire!

Carter ate his whole dog and chilled in the comfort of his highchair to watch all the action!

M felt like Pocahontas out in the wild outdoors...Can you tell we are all into Disney currently?

Mallory had fun chatting with Mike about life...."I'm going to school this year...I'm gonna be 3! I'm gonna have a Cinderella cake!!!!"

We ended the night with S'mores of course!!! Yum Yum!!! :) Even Carter had a few bites this time!

Our Big Helper

Mallory loves to help us out around the house...Yesterday she helped me make muffins for our neighbor...She was a serious little Betty Crocker in the kitchen! :)

And she loves to help her little brother do things...Yesterday she told him to do a puzzle while she read...(See the book by the puzzle on the table?) Here she is stopping to try to help him with the puzzle she put out for him...

We love that they are beginning to be able to play together and entertain themselves! :)

Where is Sissy!??!?

Where did Sissy go!??!!

Here I am Buddy!!!

Fish Kisses!

Besitos...

We went to the Zoo on Friday with friends...while we waited at the gate for them to arrive the siblings were kissing each other...2 secs after this "Magic Moment" Carter grabbed Mal's ponytail causing her to drop her cup of "Zoo Treats" (aka Animal Food)...Little pellets went flying everywhere...oh we love to make an entrance! :)

Going to the Gardens...

MiMi invited us to the gardens today! We were so excited to see the butterflies! Although Mallory was scared of them once we got there and they were fluttering all around us!

The kids enjoyed the other part of the Conservatory with the little "Butterfly Cottage" with all of its butterfly things inside...

It was such a beautiful day...great temp, a gorgeous sky, and pretty flowers everywhere!

Lots of kid friendly things to see and do....
Bongo-rific mon! :)

The kids enjoyed playing in the little houses from around the world...

Then we stopped for a potty break and a picnic of Cheetos...ahhh the "Lunch of Champions"...time got away from us bc we were having so much fun! (We grabbed a real lunch on the way home later...) Next time we will pack a lunch bc there is so much fun to be had while there!

Our view from way up in the tree house...so pretty! :)

Taking a little rest halfway down from the tree house...Mallory kept saying, "Welcome to you!" and clasping her hands together and looking at us and nodding every place we stopped today...we think she was trying to be a hostess or something... :)

After watching other kids play in the water area (M is still weary of fountains...and C was in his stroller) we played on this huge tree...it was awesome! Carter enjoyed getting out of the stroller today and crawling around some...I need to get him out more and let him do things! Thanks for such a special day MiMi! :)

1 Year Stats

Good Gracious!!! I can hardly take it!!! Love that little "duck tail-whisp!!!!" :) We will prob need our first hair cut sometime soon (Grandma even volunteered her services while we were visiting...which would have been so neat...but I just can't do it yet! Love those baby locks!)

We had Carter's 1 Year Well visit today....and boy was the place packed! Everyone was trying to get ready for school! Carter was a champ through the exam, but let the place know he wasn't pleased with his 3 shots he got!!!! He recovered quickly though and moved on...the sadest thing happened though when we got back to the van...when I went to shut his door a "single silent tear" rolled down his face...that is the worst!!! Poor guy!!!! But he is sleeping well now in his crib!

Here are his stats...
Weight: 25 lbs 9 ozs (90%tile)
Height: 31.5 inches (90%tile)
He is def. our Moose!!!

Here he is playing with his first puzzle he can call his own...he got it for his B-Day...He thinks it's quite tasty!!!! :) We can't wait to watch our little "toddler" (what in the world!?!?) learn and grow this yr!!! We are grateful for a great doctor's visit! :)
