"I fy-ing!!!!" (flying)

The only person from my side of the fam that we didn't get to see today was Aunt Laura...But boy was she here in spirit...She sent an "Abby Cadabby-like" dress up outfit for Mallory via MiMi and PaPa (they went to Laura's last weekend) And Mallory loved "fy-ing" around and around the living room in it when she put it on and wanted to put it right back on when she got back in from playing in the snow with MiMi. We are gonna get a ton of mileage out of this costume!!! :)!!!

Snow Cream with Aunt Susan

Aunt Susan came over after work (she got to leave early!) and brought a recipe for snow ice cream. It was a hit! MiMi and PaPa arrived when it was ready to eat. Yummy!!! (Mallory wore her PJs all day bc it was so easy to put her snow pants and all her gear on top of it without having to worry about her ankles or legs getting cold...gotta love foot-y pjs!) :)

5 for 1...

So we put Carter in 5 layers for 1 min in the snow....but we had to get him out there...I mean he could be a 3rd Grader by the time this happens again!!!! :)

He liked it...liked licking the snow off his jacket...Good times...Good times...

Mallory is having a blast and has already been out for two 30 min sessions! (She and Daddy played during Carter's nap....We couldn't wait!!) Snow angels, snow men, etc...more footage to follow...Just wanted Carter to know that he actually did go out in the snow of 2009! Now our house will become "The Napping House!" Could this day get any better!?!?!?

REAL Snow Cones!

I'm gonna be even more "blog happy" than usual today...so exciting! The news said this is the best storm we have had since 2000! (Makes the last good snow in 03 look like a joke!) So I have to document document document! It might be another 9 yrs before it happens again!
Daddy made buttermilk biscuits and eggs for breakfast and look at our view out the window! Love it! And we heard a scraping sound towards the end of the meal and looked out and our neighbor was doing our stairs and sidewalk...how nice!

We followed breakfast with a real snow cone...first with just snow and then added some kool-aid to it! YUMMY!!! Now Carter will nap and then we will all go out to play in the snow!

We are loving waking up in a "Winter Wonderland" this morning and the "stillness" that is brings...Can't wait to play in God's creation in a bit! :)

We are beyond hyper over here! We have been waiting for this for YEARS! Mallory loved her first real snow experience...we had dinner plans with Community Group from church and we let her play when we got home before she went in for her bath...We will def be out there again tomorrow!

Morning Medley

I am loving the "Morning Medley" I get to listen to a lot of mornings around here as I drink my cup of coffee and watch a little of the Today show. Today we all enjoyed a "song" after naptime. When I go in there she is usually sitting up with her hands on her railing on the side of her bed and is singing to "her twin" in the mirror across the way from her bed. She cracks us up...I love hearing bits and pieces of different songs and gibberish!
