The grandkids open gifts from G and G's last trip...
The girls got Anne of Green Gables dolls...Can't wait for M to read and watch it when she is older! Carter got a moose and the other boys got fun games to play...

What a great trip up north this summer....
The kids are getting older and M really got in the mix playing with the cousins this yr...so we often had time to sit back and enjoy adult conversation...Carter is content to play with his "guys" for long stretches of time so it seemed a bit easier this time to just relax and enjoy vacation...
M got to skip rest time the whole vacation and hang with the big kids...she enjoyed a trip to Dell's with us during rest time one day (pictured above)...her sleeping had gotten back on track before vacation, but we decided to make vacation special in that dept. (she has gone back to rest time now that we are home)...and it made her good and tired for bedtime...she often crawled in bed with us in the middle of the night though...fun for vacation, but I'm sleeping better now that we are home...it was cute and funny...when she would quietly sneak in she would do something that resembled a "snow angel" between us before falling back asleep...wonder what next summer will be like with Carter out of the packnplay...it could get crowded if he sneaks in too! :)
