Neighborhood Hayride!

We had caramel apples for the kids...Mike usually brings down our porch table and we place everything out nicely...this is how this "single mother" did it this weekend...too tricky to get a big table, apples, and baby to the festivities! (I'm not sure if you can tell...Mallory is smiling after I asked her to! Yay!...we were awaiting the kiddos...)

Mallory and I raced back home from NC today for a B-Day party and then the neighborhood Fall Festival that I was in charge of...It was fun to see the kids in their costumes and they enjoyed the caramel apples and hayride! :)

Home SWEET Home... :)

The DRIVING RAIN (monsoon for real!!!!!) couldn't stop us from moving Laura into her new house in NC!!! We were so hyper we forgot to eat lunch or dinner until 930pm! (Mallory was the only one who got fed at the right times yesterday!!!) Laura closed at 2 and the moving started...isn't her new place so fun!?!? I love her hard wood floors and black and white kitchen and bathroom floors! And Mallory took her first bath in the tub without a baby bathtub and she loved it! Mike was sad to miss out on all the action as he had already bought a train ticket to RI for a wedding before he knew when the closing would be...I'm sure we will be back again soon though! :) Can't wait to see it when Laura has decorated and made the house her "home."

The Little Gym!

Today we went to a B-Day party at The Little Gym and Mallory had a blast crawling all over the place chasing bubbles and balls. All the while rocking out to fun music...High School Musical anyone?!?!?! And can you believe I forgot my camera!!?!?! Thanks for the pics Cara! :)

Beautiful Day!

Just got back from a Fall Festival near our house (they've been doing it for yrs and yrs in our town)...Mike and I just found out about it a couple of yrs ago and always had something the Sat. they held it...well we snuck it in between a B-Day party and naptime...Mallory is too young to enjoy the face painting, bounces, games, etc...but it's still fun to walk around and see all the vendors and hear live music, and smell the "fair food" cooking...now Mallory is napping and Mom and Dad are going to take a trip to Snoozeville too! :)

Guess who learned how to use her push toy last night at Family Dinner?!?!! (Right in time for her 11 month b-day!!!) So neat that MiMi and Auntie SueSue got to see it too! Now she just has to learn how to turn when she hits something! hahahaha! :) Wonder when she will be walking without it!

How fun is it to have a little one crawl over to you and pull up and want to be held all the while saying, "Mommmamammamamama??!?!?!?" (Not sure if she knows I'm Momma or if she just says this because she knows I like it and will pick her up....hummmmm??!?) :)

We went back to the Dr. for our "ear checkup" and Mallory looks so much better than our last visit! Yay! Let's hope that was her one and only ear infection or that she will get a break for a bit...we can hope can't we! :)

Now we are at home and playing before we go pick up Connor from PreK...then I will be cooking for Family Dinner (my parents and my sis Susan) tonight while Mal has her afternoon nap...maybe Connor will want to help in the kitchen! We'll see!!! :)

PS: And I almost forgot...the Title is Kisses because Mallory can give them now on command! So fun! I love that she understands and can respond now...so rewarding for us parents! She is such a blessing!

Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere!

So today we were going to take Mallory to the Pumpkin Patch for the first time, but her sleeping in this morning (we didn't mind!!!) threw our schedule off a bit and we would have had to make it a speedy trip for us to get back in time for a B-Day party this afternoon...so we went to "Grandma's Pumpkins" right up the road from our house. We had a fun time...and Mallory couldn't tell the difference!

Mommy Want a Cracker?!?!!?

So here is Mallory's new favorite game to play at mealtime! (and I know a lot of our pics and videos are currently of her in her chair...I promise she doesn't spend all her time eating!) :) It's just the easiest place to capture her on film currently because she is always on the move! And yes that is 80s elevator music for babies in the background...cracks me up! (Thanks for the CD Aunt Kirsti and Uncle Neil!) We try to expose her to all kinds of different musical genres at mealtime! :)

Mallory loves her "cat friends." Here she is talking in her "babe-ese" (kinda like Chinese!)...I love to listen to her chat and wonder what on earth she is thinking...It makes perfect sense to her though...and she has a lot to say! Wonder where she gets her chattiness from!??!?! hahaha!

Get Away Weekend (@Home!)

Mallory loves playing with her "teething turtle" while we clean up her tray after meals...

So last weekend Mike and I decided we would have a Get Away Weekend this weekend and get out of town for a few days...but since Mallory got sick we decided to have the Get Away right here at home. We cancelled all activities...(huge deal for me!) and we just had a low key weekend. The cats enjoyed all the extra time with us...can't you tell Nigel is loving it?!!?!? :)

Animal Sounds!

Mallory is enjoying learning about the sounds animals make...especially the cow, rooster, and the donkey! Those crack her up...here is a clip of her with one of the kids I keep once a week...she thinks Connor is hilarious! He has fun playing with her as well! :)

Such a Trooper!

Our little BooBear is sick...but how fun is it that I can put bows in her hair now!?!?!? :)
Mallory has her first EAR INFECTION......SADness! But she is being such a trooper! She had a cold for a week a bit ago and I took her in the the DR on the 25th and they checked her out and said her ears looked great...then a few days later the cold went away and she had a break for a week and then wham it came back yesterday...it was worse this time though so I brought her back AGAIN (looking like a CRAZY mom...hehehe) today and the diagnosis....an ear infection! Poor girl! She loves her bubble gum tasting amoxicillin though, so that's good! Hopefully she will be feeling back to her old self soon! :)
