Bug-a-Boo...I see you!

What fun it is to get little girl after her naps! :)
Below are some verses that mean so much to Mike and I...

"Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. DO NOT be ANXIOUS about anything, but in everything, by PRAYER and PETITION, with THANKSGIVING, present your REQUESTS to God. And the PEACE of God, which TRANSCENDS all understanding, will GUARD your HEARTS and your MINDS in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is TRUE, whatever is NOBLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is ADMIRABLE—if anything is EXCELLENT or PRAISEWORTHY—think about such things."
Philippians 4:4-8

Nanny McMe :)

They LOVE seeing each other after their naps!

Thought I should post what I do every day now that I'm Nannying a family with 3 little ones...for 5.5 hrs each day I am with 2 babies (one is Mallory!) and for the last hour I have 4 kids...one Kindergartener and one PreKer come home from school...I do lunch with the kids and then I'm home free...

Samantha and Mallory love "talking" to each other...it's so cute when they first see each other after naptime...they only get to see each other for about 30 mins at a time because they are on 2 totally different nap schedules...Sammy wakes up and Mallory goes down and vise versa...two ships passing in the night...Sam is 5 months old so she is still on the 3 naps a day schedule...

I've been letting Mallory wear her footy PJs over to their house in the morning so I can let her sleep in and don't have to wake her until 7am when I am ready to walk out the door...I love watching her crawl around in them...I think they are soooo cute!

Off to the Zoo!

Gotta love the giraffes!

Do you see the big tortoise?

We took Mallory to the zoo today...we had a good time with all the animals. Mallory especially liked the monkeys and the giraffes.

In the past 2 days Mallory has learned to climb the stairs and can pull all the way up in her crib. I couldn't wait for the day when she could pull up in the crib and smile and bounce when we came in to get her. What a special treat yesterday to go in and see her doing just that after her nap! :)

One of my Favorite Songs!

(I was going to highlight the best parts, but I love all the words...wish I could put the actual song on here so you could hear it...but it is a great song of hope and comfort in the good and bad times in life...)

Blessed Be Your Name
by Matt Redman
- - -
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

First Sleepover and Fred-Burg!

In front of Zuppa! (Great restaurant Ann!)
Enjoying lunch with Aunt Ginny!

Mallory spent her first night at MiMi and PaPa's house last night without us! We missed her so much and were excited to pick her up this morning. We knew she was in good hands...I've just never been away from her for that long! We missed out on a picture with the grandparents because we were rushing around to get ready to go to Fredricksburg...sadness!

Mike and I went out on the town last night and tried a restuarant that a friend's husband owns...it was so yummy! Then Mike and I walked around downtown and looked in all the windows of the clubs and restuarants...we were trying to find a coffee shop with live music...but apparently the place that we used to go to no longer has live music...it was fun to walk and chat though...weird not to have a little one with us!

Then today we drove up to Fredricksburg to meet up with my friend Ginny from college! We had a great time catching up! It had been too long since we had seen her! She used to see Mallory every month up until April...so she thought Mallory had grown quite a bit over the summer! It was great hearing what's she's been up to and all about her trip to Africa! We hope to see her again soon! :)

Crawl-a-thon and Munch-a-thon

Shoes and Shadow Play

Such pretty shoes...hard to believe in 2 short months we will be celebrating her B-day! :)
Now the shoes come off...she's over it...Gotta love this pic anyway though! :)

So I should have done this "shoe photo shoot" before Mallory could crawl and had her own ideas about what she wants to do...but when I tried them on her last time they were huge like clown shoes! I love them though and they will be such a keepsake! (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) I wonder how her next professional shots will go at the studio!!?!?! Life is getting trickier! :)

Mallory is all over the place now with her crawling! 2 days after I posted that she was starting to crawl...she has taken off!! When we are playing and I need to scoot to another room to grab something really quickly she is right there behind me! My little shadow! :)

Pocahontas Before Pocahontas

Mallory loves our new hiking backpack! (Thanks Jenkins Family!)

Are we being followed?!!?! (We are so goofy!)
The Mal Pal took a snoozer before we could get back to the car...too much excitement I guess!

We headed out to Pocahontas Park today for a hike before Mike heads back to Pocahontas Middle tomorrow for a new school year. It was a lot of fun to hike along paths that my family used to hike and bike ride on with friends. We even saw 3 deer along the way! It was nice to get out and think about the next school year. Mike is excited about his classes, but will miss us during the day and it's weird for me because I've always gone to school every Sept. since I went to Kindergarten...but I am very grateful to be staying home with my little girl. God is so good to provide for us and He has given us a wonderful family and our friends who are helping us make it on one salary! We are so blessed! :)

Crawling for Cats and Cell phones! :)

Trying to get to Maggie...we think this is going to be "her cat"...Maggie is so good to her and will let Mallory pet her...we are working on "gentle touch"...
Mallory's been trying to get my cell phone when I'm talking and she gets frustrated when she can't have it...so MiMi found one of her old ones...now Mallory is part of the "cell phone nation" and can chew til her hearts content on hers! :)

It's hard to believe that Mallory is 9 and a half months old! People couldn't believe she was crawling to get things at church and sipping from a sippy cup. She is very methodical (like her dad) and doesn't crawl all the way across the floor yet...but crawls, then sits, then crawls...to get to where she wants to go...) She loves real food now too and always wants what we are having...so we have been letting her...everything, but honey and peanuts are fair game (green light from the Dr.)...we hope she will learn to like many foods!

At her 9 month appointment she weighed in exactly 3 lbs heavier than at 6 months...17 lbs and 3 oz and was still in the 20%tile for weigh, but the Dr. was very happy with that. She jumped 25 points in height to be in the 75%tile now for height! We were so happy with her check up and can't wait to see how she's changed when we go back at a year!
